John Newton's Autobiography

John Newton lived from 1725-1807. He is best known for his work with William Wilberforce to abolish slavery. He also wrote the well-known hymn Amazing Grace. This account is written by himself in twelve letters to a friend. He tells the broad overview of his life, including his excessive sin, his conversion, how he met his wife, and how God preserved his life several times before becoming a believer.
